Confirmation
Confirmation occurs after a two year course for our young people or adults to bring them to the understanding of our faith. At the completion of the preparation, the participants confirm and affirm their faith before the congregation and become full members of our adult community. Currently young people in the 8th and 9th grade make up our confirmation class. Adults share in a six week Explorers' Class after which and upon affirmation of their faith, become members of our Fellowship. If this was done previously in another Lutheran congregation, then by letter of transfer, they become part of our Fellowship. Email us to discuss Confirmation.

Children's Sunday School
Welcome Back to Sunday School! Pre-school through grade 5 "What's Bugging You?" Rally Day - September 17th. Sunday Morning - 10:45 A.M. Special Refreshments - 11:15 A.M. During the six weeks of Sunday School after Rally Day, children will participate in an age appropriate, fun filled version of The Purpose Driven Life called "What's Bugging You?" This program parallels the adult series with kid friendly and engaging practices that will allow families to discuss, grow and enrich their faith on the same subject each week. Children's Church
Children's Church, for children in grades 2 thru 5, is held during the worship service. As children study the "nuts and bolts" of the Bible, they grasp an understanding of the layout, the history, and the elements of the Bible. Bible Stories and Crafts
Bible Stories and Crafts is for children ages 3 through 1st grade and is held during the worship service. Children learn familiar Bible stories that become part of their lives, as well as take home corresponding craft projects. Email us to discuss Bible Stories and Crafts.

Treehouse
During the Sunday Service, pre-school and elementary children enjoy Biblical and contemporary videos as well as enticing read alouds and engaging activities. Email us to discuss Treehouse.

Vacation Bible School
One week during the summer, Grace Lutheran holds a Vacation Bible School. It is open to both the members of the church and the community. Activities include relative Bible lessons, crafts, snacks, recreation and songs your child will be singing for the rest of the summer. Read to the Lambs
A Free Early Literacy/Activity Fun Program Open to Preschool and primary children in the surrounding community
When: 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month - drop in anytime between noon and two P.M.
Details: Parent/child drop in, read and/or play a little, select bag of books, and off you go. An outgrowth of the award winning "Operation Read" program originally funded by the International Paper Company, Century 21, and the Washington Post Bags of quality, children?s books on loan to the community Themed and age appropriate bags of books, put together by certified teachers, based on latest reading research/related fun activities Free Parent/Child Magazines and handouts for parents throughout the year, free birthday books for enrolled children, occasional free activity fun festivals for parents and children, to be announced Quality program saves parents time and money, provides parent info on reading, growth, development, and fun activities for young children Fall Festival Winter Festival Email us to discuss Read to the Lambs.

Pizza and Paperbacks
Pizza and Paperbacks is a book discussion group held at various times throughout the year for children ages 12 to 15. Kids enjoy a lively discussion while munching their favorite food. Adult Sunday School

Scholarships
Each year Grace Lutheran recognizes a worthy student who is continuing their education, either at a college or vocational school, by granting them a scholarship. We also choose an adult who is going back to school to further their career. Email us to discuss Scholarships.

Grace is indeed fortunate to have a lending library that has a wide array of books, videos, DVDs and magazines. The selection includes videos for kids and adults, Bible study books, resources, testimonial books, novels and books regarding relationships with others as well as the Lord.
