Easter Alive
Easter Alive is a drive through Easter pageant that reenacts scenes from the life, death,
and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Members of the congregation dressed in costumes of the
period against scenic backdrops present these stirring scenes.

Grace has been presenting Easter Alive as a gift to the community for over 10 years on
the weekend before Easter. Coordinators and volunteers begin planning months in advance of
the event, coordinating casting assignments, repairing and upgrading scenes and organizing
costumes.
Everything comes together the afternoon of the Saturday night performance when more than
50 Easter Alive "players" gather in the Fellowship Hall for costumes and make-up. Then at
7:30 PM, with all the costumed players in place, the gates are opened to the public and
visitors drive their way around the church's perimeter road to view the dozen-plus Bible
scenes. It's a blessed evening for visitors and players alike!
The 2007 Grace Lutheran Easter Alive Pageant will held on Saturday, March 31st and Sunday,
April 1st. All donations of food and cash are being used to support the Bowie Food Pantry.

Grace Homeless Ministry
Grace Lutheran has a dedicated giving fund maintained to fund homeless aid efforts
conducted throughout the year. These "face to face" aid programs are administered by
our Youth Ministries, who deliver food, clothing and blankets to homeless individuals
living on the streets of Washington.

God has richly blessed the program, the recipients of the aid and the young men and
women serving in His name as they help the homeless and deliver the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
